Become a Volunteer – Call for Volunteers ECFS 2026 in Lisbon
The 49th European Cystic Fibrosis Conference will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, from 3-6 June 2026 and we are looking for volunteers who would like to contribute to the conference.
This prestigious medical conference will bring together experts on CF from around the world. Volunteers play an integral role in supporting ECFS 2026. They are vital to creating a welcoming atmosphere for delegates while assisting the hosts in delivering a professionally run conference.
Volunteers are needed from Monday 1 June to Saturday 6 June. You will receive a briefing and information kit explaining your specific tasks.
Tasks we need assistance with include distributing and scanning participant badges, setting up and dismantling the scientific poster exhibition and signage, admission control for closed meetings or counting participants during selected sessions.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for volunteers who:
- Are at least 18 years old.
- Speak a minimum level of English.
- Are available for an in-person briefing at the CCL Lisbon in the afternoon of 2 June 2026.
- Are available to volunteer for 2 volunteer shifts of approximately 4-5 hours each between 1-6 June 2026.
- Have the time, dedication and enthusiasm to assist us in delivering a successful event.
We would particularly encourage people interested in the medical and scientific dimensions of CF (medical students, persons involved in patient groups) to apply as a volunteer.
Benefits
In return for their assistance, volunteers will receive free registration to the conference and can participate in the sessions whenever they are not acting as volunteers. T-shirts and meals will be provided on the days people volunteer. A 3-day ticket for public transportation can be provided. Certificates are available on request.
