Requirements
Eligibility Requirements for ECFS Travel Award and/or Young European Investigator Award
- Early Career Professional Status by 12 January 2026, defined as:
- A medically qualified doctor still in training who has not yet obtained a full specialist or consultant qualification; OR
- A Post-Doctoral researcher within the first three years after completing their PhD.
- First Author of an abstract submitted to the conference.
Please note: Individuals who have received grants or awards in the past two years are not eligible.
Application
The grants application deadline is 19 January 2026.
The winners of the ECFS Young Investigator Awards and ECFS Travel Grants will be notified in March, after the abstract review process.
Supporting Letter from Head of Department
Applications for ECFS Awards/Grants must be supported by a letter from the Applicant's Head of Department. A template for the letter can be found under the Associated Documents box. The letter can be uploaded online as part of the application process or can be sent separately to K.I.T. Group - E-mail: ecfs-abstracts@kit-group.org (no later than 19 January 2026).
