We are appy to announce three webinars dedicated to Basic science.
We thank Carlos Farinha, Nicoletta Pedemonte and Jeffrey Brodsky for designing this series of webinars.
Webinar 1 - 28 April 2021
From genotype to phenotype
This first webinar will cover the most recent advances on the genetic diversity associated with cystic fibrosis, and how a better understanding of the relationship between genotype and phenotype can help make personalized medicine an effective strategy to treat CF.
Webinar 2 - 14 July 2021
CFTR Trafficking and Interactions
The second webinar will focus on CFTR folding and trafficking and the impact of disease-causing mutations on these events. The webinar will also focus on how protein and lipid interactions alter the fate of CFTR in the cell. Novel advances in developing improved biological models to study disease mechanisms will also be discussed.
Webinar 3 - 20 Oct.2021
Other channels that modify CFTR containing epithelia
In this third webinar, the focus will be on other channels and transporters that contribute to the dysregulation caused by the lack of functional CFTR. The goal is to understand how other proteins can be targeted to provide alternative mutation-agnostic therapeutics.
