Young Investigator Awards

Young investigators under the age of 35 are eligible to be considered for an award recognizing the research work contained in their abstract submission.  The award scheme is applicable for all the abstract categories.  The Scientific Committee of the 37th ECFS Conference will, as part of the abstract review process, select the abstracts they deem most worthy of this award.  It includes a monetary grant of 750 Euro, a free registration to the conference, and a 2014 ECFS membership subscription. The awards will be acknowledged during the conference.

Travel Grants

Young European investigators under the age of 35 registered for a PhD or Post-Graduate Degree or graduated within 12 Months are eligible to be considered for an ECFS Travel award.  The award scheme is applicable for all the abstract categories. The travel grant is not available for previous recipients of the grant in 2013 (Lisbon) or 2012 (Dublin). The Scientific Committee of the 37th ECFS Conference will, as part of the abstract review process, select the abstracts they deem most worthy of these Grants. They consist of a monetary grant of 300 Euro, a free registration to the conference and a 2014 ECFS membership subscription. The ECFS Awards and Travel Grant recipients will be notified in March, after the abstract review process.

Supporting Letter from Head of Department

Applications for ECFS Awards/Grants must be supported by a letter from the Applicant's Head of Department.  A template for the letter can be found under the Associated Documents box.  The letter can be uploaded online as part of the application process or can be sent separately to K.I.T. Group - E-mail: ecfs2014@kit-group.org (no later than 7 February 2014).
