ECFS Award

 Prof. Kevin Webb
Professor Kevin Webb

The ECFS Award is given annually to honour a person who has made an outstanding contribution to our basic understanding of cystic fibrosis or to the treatment or care of patients with cystic fibrosis.

This year the award goes to Professor Kevin Webb (United Kingdom) to acknowledge his substantial and remarkable contribution to cystic fibrosis care over 30 years.

We also wish to recognise and honour the huge contribution his scientific research has had on our understanding of clinical care, genetics, and therapy – and the importance of cross infection of Burkholderia cepacia complex organisms and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Professor Webb will present a lecture at the Opening Plenary on 12 June 2013 at the annual conference in Lisbon
