ECFS Award

 Professor Niels Høiby
Prof. Niels Høiby

The ECFS Award is given annually to honour a person who has made an outstanding contribution to our basic understanding of cystic fibrosis or to the treatment or care of patients with cystic fibrosis.

This year the award goes to Professor Niels Høiby (Denmark) in recognition of his outstanding contribution to research in infection and immunity in the CF lung and translating this knowledge into better treatment for people with CF.  We also wish to recognise and honour the huge contribution he has made to the development of scientific research and clinical care in Europe through his leadership of the European Cystic Fibrosis Society.  Professor Høiby will present a lecture at the Opening Ceremony on 6 June 2012 of the annual conference in Dublin

ECFS Lifetime Contribution Award
