Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is a great pleasure to invite you to the 36th European Cystic Fibrosis Conference which will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, 12-15 June 2013.

At the ECFS conference, we will provide a forum for the discussion of the best and most recent basic and applied science, to facilitate translation of the latest knowledge into daily clinical practice. The programme will reflect these priorities and bring together both scientific and clinical teams from around the world. A high quality programme is planned with internationally recognized key experts in the field delivering plenary and symposia lectures.

The 36th ECFS conference will take place at the Conference Centre Lisboa, CCL, the largest conference centre located in the historical area of Belém, by the Tagus River. It has been designed to host national and international events of different sizes and offers flexibility, maximum comfort, efficiency and the latest in technology.

Lisbon is an ancient historic capital full of cultural traditions, where magnificent palaces, monuments, churches and museums abound alongside narrow, charming medieval streets, where 800 years of cultural influence mingle with modern trends and life styles creating spectacular contrasts. Bordered by one of Europe’s widest rivers, the Tagus, the city spreads across the slopes of seven hills and down to the ocean with breathtaking views. Lisbon’s cultural diversity, fascinating architecture and relaxing atmosphere make it one of the most enjoyable cities in Europe. In these attractive surroundings, we provide a social platform and a great opportunity for networking.

A friendly and very tolerant city by tradition thanks to centuries of cross culture influences from around the world, Lisbon makes people feel at home.

We look forward to welcoming you to the 36th European Cystic Fibrosis Conference in Lisbon!
