The Vertex Innovation Awards (VIA) programme is aimed to support innovative clinical research that may improve the care of patients with cystic fibrosis.

The Vertex CF Research Innovation Award (CF RIA) committee is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the CF RIA 2019 award program which aims to support and inspire the next generation of researchers who are advancing the understanding of cystic fibrosis. There are two award categories available:

•    INDEPENDENT RESEARCH INNOVATION AWARD
Grants of up to $750,000 are available to newly independent researchers conducting an independent research program over 3 years.

•    MENTORED RESEARCH INNOVATION AWARD
Grants of up to $125,000 are available to junior investigators conducting a 2-year mentored research project
