We are saddened to inform you of the passing on Christmas Day of Fr. John A. Mangos, M.D..
Dr. Mangos was a distinguished scientist contributing to our understanding of the basic biology of cystic fibrosis. He had some of the early basic research grants from the CFF to support his studies on ion transport physiology. His work inspired other scientists to focus on electrolyte transport mechanisms.
