Title: Measuring and Improving CF Centre Care Leader: E. Riestschel, DE Objective: The objective of this roundtable is to discuss the application of quality improvement principles in CF Centres. In particular we will discuss the "5 P´s" - purpose, patients, professionals, process, pattern- as well as outcome parameters for benchmarking. |
| Title: Sleep Medicine in CF-Normal and Dysfunctional Sleep - Assessment and Treatment Leader: B. Fauroux, FR Objective: The objective of this roundtable is to discuss sleep disordered breathing in patients with cystic fibrosis. In particular we will discuss nocturnal alveolar hypoventilation, and when, how and where to perform a sleep study, and the practical management of nocturnal hypoventilation in these patients. |
Title: Proteases and Anti-proteases Leader: C. Taggart, UK Objective: The objective of this roundtable is to describe and discuss the role of proteases and antiproteases in the CF lung. Discussion will also focus on the use of protease inhibitors for the treatment of CF lung disease and the possibilities and problems associated with this therapeutic approach. |

Title: Use of New Antibiotics in CF Leader: M. Parkins, CA Objective: The objective of this round table is to discuss the role of antibacterial agents recently approved or currently under clinical investigation for use in CF. In particular, we will focus on parenteral agents for mangement of pulmonary exacerbations and aerosolized therapy in the chronic maintenance of lung health. |

Title: Molecular Identification Methods Leader: P. Dřevinek, CZ Objective: Correct identification of many emerging CF pathogens is dependent on the use of molecular methods. With special attention to identification of Burkholderia cepacia complex bacteria, we will discuss pros/cons of molecular genetic approach and methods that are currently available. |
| Title: Preventing Acquisition of CF Pathogens from the Environment Leader: M. Denton, UK Objective: The objective of this round table will be to discuss the evidence that some CF pathogens are acquired from the environment and the future development of realistic strategies to prevent such acquisition. |
Title: MRSA - A Pathogen in CF? Leader: R. Cantón, ES Objective: To discuss current information of MRSA epidemiology and the potential influence of different clones in pulmonary function on cystic fibrosis patients as well as different therapeutic options to avoid pathogenic colonization. |

The discussion will not focus on technical issues, but on disease liability of mutations. |
| Title: NBS: What to do after a borderline ST? Leader: K. Southern, UK Objective: A borderline sweat test result after newborn screening for CF presents a difficult clinical dilemma. Case scenarios will be used to illustrate the management of these infants with reference to recently published guidelines. |
Title: Next Generation Sequencing Leader: H. Cuppens, BE Objective: The objective of this roundtable is to discuss the ongoing revolution of next-generation sequencing. In particular we will discuss how one should deal with these data if implemented for CFTR mutation testing and screening. |

We will discuss key practical issues such as logistics, recruitment, documentation, and staff involvement, as well as focussing on the benefits of involvement for both the people with CF and the staff at your center. |

Goldbeck, DE Objective: The objective of this roundtable is to discuss clinically relevant symptoms of anxiety and or depression in patients with CF and their caregivers and about the interference of anxiety/depression with treatment of CF, how to address these symptoms, and how to plan psychological/psychiatric interventions adapted to symptom severity, individual preferences of the patient, and availability. The input of case examples is welcome. |

Discussion will focus on both children and adults and the complexity and severity of CF disease. |
