Message from the ECFS President

Dear Colleagues

It is with great pleasure that I can inform you that the impact factor for the Journal of Cystic Fibrosis is 1.550.  This is the first time JCF has been allocated an impact factor.  The achievement of 1.55  in its first cycle is a tremendous achievement and thanks go to the current Editor Professor Gerd Doering and Founding Editor Dr Harry Heijerman, Dr Steve Conway, Deputy Editor, and the current and past  Editorial  Boards for their hard work and determination to see the successful launch of the World's first journal dedicated to cystic fibrosis.  The Journal has been very successful in its content and continues to attract a large number of manuscripts.  The ECFS is very proud of the Journal and pleased that the success has been recognised with an excellent impact factor.  We also thank all those who continue to submit their work to JCF and hope that the award of the impact factor will encourage you to send your best work to the journal.
